There seems to be some confusion here…………

Both G-APWX and G-APXW were EP9s……..C/n 41 & 43 respectively.

G-APWX was sold in the USA in Nov 68 as N8395. Still extant according to a list of Percival survivors. Seem to remember it was at Oshkosh about five years back.

The EP9 in the Museum of Army flying is marked XM 419 which would make it G-ARTV.

Does anyone know more ????

It would appear he has put some of his classic flock up for sale, Stampe, MS 317, Viimma and Jungmeister but not as yet the aforementioned Harvard.

The Stampe (OO-WIL) is not his Stampe, but one owned by a private person at EBKT. The MS317, Viima and Jungmeister come from the Flying Legends Team at EBKT which is currently selling a part of it’s collection.

So Bruno is not selling his own SV4 (OO-ESV). He still flies it often.

Hornet fuselages survived in UK scrapyards until the late 60’s/early 70’s.

A wing from a PR.22 survived in a UK scrapyard until 1980!

Yes TT, it is owned by Bruno Van Wayenberghe which flew as number 4 with the blades in 2006. He is the owner of Extraviation Ltd which sells Extra acrobatic planes at EBKT here in Belgium. He told me last year that he thought about selling G-BRLV but I don’t think he has put it up for sale at this point. I think G-BRLV is still here in Belgium. Bruno also owns and flies a Stampe SV4b OO-ESV at EBKT.

Just a smal update about G-BRLV. I spoke to Bruno yesterday and he still owns and flies G-BRLV from Kortrijk Wevelgem (EBKT).

(better late than never …)

If you are talking about Harvard G-BRLV Texan Belle (previously Night train), then I can say that this machine has been Based for since 2002 at EBKT in Belgium. It hopped to North Weald from time to time for maintenance. I last saw it in Belgium standing outside the extraviation hangar at EBKT in August 2007. It may still be standing in the Extraviation hangar at this point, but I can not confirm this for shure.

I may be wrong (I usually am) but the Harvard was for sale recently in one of the free newspapers. Havent been to North Weald for ages (apologies to all that know me….I will be back!).

Len as I remember was killed in a Yak-55 accident in Russia. Always remember him for having different coloured shoes.

If I recall, it was filmed at West Malling, and certainly on the spoof ‘All You Need is Cash’ by The Rutles, which also appears to be West Malling, the aircraft are gliders from the resident (at the time) VGS

It was a Shackleton in the original ‘Magical Mystery Tour ‘ TV film of which the ‘I Am The Walrus’ sequence was part of. The complete film was first shown on TV on Boxing Day, 1967 (in black & white :rolleyes: )!

Jungmann G-BECX was converted to a Lycoming AEIO-360 engine version (YUK!) and last I heard was then sold to Germany.
