Vintage UK Dak Photos

Dear All,
Some years ago at North Coates aeroclub I was given some old black and white negatives by another member. The negatives I was told show some Daks at Humberside way back when?. I’ve not had a scanner that will scan negatices until this week. So to clear my conscience for not having done something sooner and to test the scanner here they are. I hope they are of interest to some of the forum readers.

For those interested in such things, the film was Ilford’s HP5. Its way grainer than film I would shoot back in my film shooting days. I don’t think the photographer was the great with his processing. But thats “vintage” for you. I think I must have been one of hte last of my generation to learn how to process film.

I’d be interested to know more if anyone has any background inforamtion. The latter two shots show aircraft in the colours of “Eastern Airways”, I don’t recall them, but I do recal lteh hanger still being painted withthe “Anglia” logo when they still used to have an airshow at Humberside in the early eighties.

Freddie Laker used “Skytrain” not Skyways Coach Air.
