Info needed on German WW2 bombsites

Can anyone steer me towards a source of expertise on Luftwaffe bombsights? I’m looking for detailed information on their optical ‘innards’, and if possible details of which companies manufactured the complete sights.

More than one use during the war..

They also manufactured the binocular and monocular sights on many of the panzers.Gave the ability of the Tigers to engage out to longer ranges more accurately.Three thousand yards with a kill shot on a moving target on the third or fourth shot.Depending on the gunner of course.

The main producers of optical bombsights for the Luftwaffe were Karl Zeiss of Jena. I dont know of other manufacturers though, although there must have been others, or sub-contractors.

Thus my interest – some camera lenses dating from the immediate post-war years are rumoured to have been made by adapting optics salvaged or looted from bombsights. Marketed as Zeiss lenses, they were ‘disowned’ by the company.
