Congratulations to all at Brunty, not only have you taken your time & not rushed to get ‘558 back in the air, rightly stating she is ready when she is ready, but as Rich’s photo’s show you did her the justice she deserves.Well done to all the team.

Its fantastic to see XH558 in the air once again, i only became interested in aviation in 1994 so I never saw her fly, but watching videos of her, makes me want to see this aircraft at airshows. I hope she goes to southport next september, it would also be nice to see the aircraft display at Woodford her birthplace, even a private function there would be good a two day event at least due to woodfords notorious bad weather at airshows there though.

Regards:)

Congratulations to everyone involved in what must have been, in many ways, one of the most difficult flying restorations ever.
I must admit I prefer my aircraft with those big fans on the front but a Vulcan in a low level turn is such an impressive sight that no enthusiast can fail to be moved.

Absolutely fantastic, this is great news. So now for the inevitable question… will it be at Thunder over Michigan? :dev2:

Well done!

I hope that all makes well thru to next Airshow-Season! I will sea this beauty live in the air. My last sight of XH558 was in 1992 in Upper Heyford.:D

Congratulations firstly go to all at TVOC, but also to those that burnt the midnight oil from Marshalls. And Finally…….

Not forgetting one gentleman by the name of David Walton who bought the aircraft from the RAF and kept the dream going when all the Nay-sayers where telling us it will never happen……:dev2:

Humble pie anyone?

Tim, Stuck in Branston today……

Just got in from Brunty, absolutely knackered!! Saw the take off and saw the go around and landing (the car got dumped for the last two items…) It STILL hasn’t sunk in that this has happened!! Looking at her through the binoculars today, well…..words really can’t describe how it feels!! A massive CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to everyone from people who donated £1, the admin staff engineers, Dr Pleming, David Walton, the list is endless, who are involved with this amazing machine!!

And like he said, humble pie anyone???!! 😀
