thanks!
Good idea as well!
Just read on another forum the Hugh Prior AEO on black Buck 1 will be in the AEO seat. And also the winner of the engine run auction will take an active part in the engine run as the copilot has to assist Martin Withers ith startups shutdown etc. Also you will be connected live to the intercom as well!
Wish I was in the uk Id bid on it and give it to my dad!!

The yellow thing is the door lock “mod”. It bolts onto the towbar attachment point and covers the door handle.

What an idea!!
What a terrific fundraising idea! A bonus for the project and for enthusiasts!
Ok now what is that yellow thing in front of the nose gear???

I think this is a static engine run, so unless it’s really windy it probably won’t leave the ground.
Still a unique experience.
Also, Martin Withers will be giving a talk after the run in a hall near to Southend airport, Hawkswell village hall I think, (perhaps one of the others on the forum can give more details?). It’s open to non-members with a suggested donation on the door.
