does anyone have any photos/memories of this Recovery unit (and the equipment it used )based at Shipton nr, york it was responsible for the recovery of all the crashed aircraft in the 6 Group area they mostly dealt with Halifaxes and Wellingtons,and had a real busy time as several of the crashed kites had grass growing out of them when they were finally recovered due to the very high workload on the unit and its men, any info/photos would be most appreciated.:cool: 😎
