Was going to go over to the RAFM at Hendon tomorrow (I now live on the end of the road the museum is on so about two minutes walk), just had a quick look on the website and it mentioned that the Bomber Command hall is closed on 4th October, Wessex Cafe (in the helicopter area) closed 4th/5th October and part of the historic hangars area closed between 26th September – 9th October for aircraft movement. Are they just having a bit of a move around or are aircraft being moved in/out?

Ahah, just found the answer to my own question – they’re moving the Lancaster into the historic hangars area for a BBMF 50th anniversary banquet
