Hunter XF 509

Driving through Hull recently and passing the boarded-up Airfix / Humbrol factory, I was saddened to see their display Hawker Hunter showing signs of severe vandalism. The canopy is now broken into and the dummy pilot removed and the nose daubed with graffiti, although the aircraft appears undamaged (but for how long?)
Is anyone aware of any steps to preserve this wonderful historic fighter?
Understand there may be some dispute as to ownership…..
New to the Forum so apologies if this has been discussed at length already.

Some more depressing photos- although there’s always hope. Julian Temple of Brooklands Aviation museum ( heartily recommended!) was encouraging and passed my e-mail on,so you never know.

Many Thanks for the useful link. Probably heading for the scrap heap. What a waste! RJB:
