What with missing threads, deleted threads and strange goings on I thought about how we could all focus on something new and close to all our hearts…yes, a new Spitfire Thread!!
So, prize for the best judged Spitfire Pic or info posted this week…:)

Will a Hurrican do, taken by mi lad a couple of years back:D
Yet another awesome photo… 🙂 …but a FW or ME a little out in the distance coming in head on would make us get a view some had,but not all lived to tell about it…

Now,if it was a FW190 back there flying a little higher… 😀
Awesome photos. 🙂 Gives context to “the loneliest guy…back there somewhere”.

Well done to the winners and everyone, some fantastic and varied photos.
Perhaps we should do something like this every month for a different aircraft? 😉
Don’t think he’s got enough ammo for that!

2nd place, most pleasing, not as good as first but hey… 🙂 Many thanks for the kind comments.

My image and one other are currently corrupted by severe cropping at the bottom. I suspect the revenge of EN830.:)
I’m gutted my stealth picture didn’t win, however I have better and more productive ways of exacting revenge 😉

I am sorry to say that I ended this early but it has been a lot of fun, many thanks to all who contributed. I ended it after learning of the permanent exclusion of Tangmere, a key contributor to this Forum. I look forward to chatting again when he is reinstated…enough said.
Well, thank you, a lot of fun

I am sure the ‘Tangmere’ situation will be resolved in the course of time. This is not the usual moderator/poster ‘spat’.

So far as I’m aware the first time this has ever been published. Kindly copied by an old boy from his album some years ago; MA262 ‘at Abu Quir, 1943’.
Been meaning to dig it out for a while and pleased I did ‘cos I found my missing copy of the Stirling File at the same time!
