Here are some parts recovered from the recent Blenheim dig and now cleaned. The part in the picture 1 is a hydraulic actuator is this for the turret? or possibly the bomb doors, Does anyone recognise any of the other parts, about the only one I know is part of the prop ring.
Just found this picture of a Blenheim turret the rams look very similar, its not a great picture.

Hi Graham,
I have attached a two images taken this past winter of the turret belonging to the CWH Boly project. The other is from a diagram.
The actuator in the first image appears a bit to long to be from the turret, but it could very well be. There seems to be two or three times the number bolts in the flange section of the actuator.
The Bristol centre turret has a three actuators – elevation, turret rotation and gun rotation. I believe that the elevation is the longest.
In the second image, the part second from the left appears to be a part of the valve box near the gunners feet.
Regards,
Mike

Graham, Here is a photo of the Bristol turret that came with Bolingbroke 9048, at the Bristol Aero Collection. The photo was take just after it arrived, hence the straps. This is the lower section, and the connectors for the hydraulics look very similar to the part in photo 3. If I remember correctly this is a Bristol Mk.1 turret.
Andy.
