BBMF Lancaster

The BBMF Lancaster just flew low over my house in Lingfield. Does anyone know where it was going to/coming from.

It is the first non airliner I have ever seen flying here in 1 1/2 years as we are near Gatwick Airport – how come the Lancaster was allowed?

Stunning b&w shot!

I love working with colour shots personally (i.e. aircraft, women/pinup, location etc), and it’s very rare I do b&w versions (although I do have a b&w shot in my album on my profile here of a Spitfire at Shoreham).

This shot looks stunning, the Lanc in b&w gives the shot a war time feel. Stunning!

Thanks for sharing… 🙂

Hi,

The Lanc did a display at Smallfield today that I imagine would of flown by Lingfield coming from Biggin Hill I guess. Just checked on the BBMF website seems to back things up.

I too saw it whilst I was over Crawley in the distance. Lovely sight that never grows old.

Perhaps it got a clearance to transit?
