Just seen this on BBC News. Good that only a broken leg was the result.
Does anyone know which aircraft this was?

Tiger Moths are immortal! I can’t remember whether G-ANDE or G-ANOH have been ‘written-off’ the most times and have been resurrected.

I was at Andrewsfield yesterday afternoon watching him along with a Harvard doing circuits…
Both an evocative sight on a grass strip.

I remember watching G-ANDE hit (literally) the target during a flour bombing competition at Audley End, badly damaging a wing. Not a lucky plane. Hope the pilot & passenger are ok.

G-ANDE
There’s a Tiger with a history- involved in a mid-air collision with a Jetranger at Biggin in about 1977. The chopper lifted and rose right into the path of the moth, chopping off the undercarriage before falling fatally to the ground. The Moth made crash landing with no wheels.

Oh no, it must be the one I’ve been reporting regularly on ‘Spotted’, I only saw it last wednesday flying over the house, if it is the one, and flying from Andrewsfield makes it seem probable, then it’s G-ALIW.
Glad the pilots survived, though a broken leg ain’t much fun.
Just looked at the Shoreham airshow list and a Moth was due to take part on sunday, wasn’t the one was it?
