Interesting the mention of this yard as i remember it well in the late 60s and early 70s, passing along Yorktwn Rd the rear of the old petrol station was surrounded by corrogated iron fencing and i thin topped with barbed wire?. There was always visible remnants of fuselages with usually dayglo orange making it all very conspicious.
The road alongside was indeed and still is Florence Rd and i recall then it was no more than an unmade track. The site was rented by Staravia and i think they came from Ascot.
Later on long after the site was re developed turned into a purpose car garage with showroom and later on bought by the Dolphin Head Group.
However [not far from here as the crow flies] and at ngr SU 805 629 which was an old chicken farm along the Lower Sandhurst Rd at Finchampstead Aircraft fuselages etc appeared again very visible from adjacent lane due to dayglo and alloy skins at the rear of the farm, this site was shared with variuos car repair businesses and during an early evening caught fire circa 1988 all soon disappeard[and was built on with a modern development of housesQUOTE=Mark12;1920562]Here is a shot I took 8.
The was also a derelict Harvard at nearby Blackbushe for some time. I have it recorded as KF405 on 25 February 1957
