No doubt about it, a fantastic little machine. I once heard it said that you can’t stall a Beaver, they just travel downhill in a nose up attitude. Considering the proud lineage the Beaveer came from, I think they’re entitled to stick their noses in the air anyway.:)

Here’s a good excuse to promote Neil Aird’s excellent Beaver web site.
Photos and individual histories on more than 1000 or 2/3rds of the Beavers produced!Great fun if you have photos of military Beavers…where are they now?
(Probably working for a living in Canada or Alaska).
Have to agree that’s a good site, I’ve been following it for a couple of years now.

I’d forgotten all about the Beaver’s 60th. Should be ashamed of myself really as the first flight of the Beaver was 8 days before I was born and it’s also one of my all time favourite aircraft.
