Hi all,
If anybody is in the Haddington area of East Lothian this weekend, watch out for one of The BoB Memorial Flight Spitfires flying over St Martins RC Cemetery at around 2.15 on Saturday in memory of Flight Lieutenant Vaclav Jicha DFC-AFC.

The Spit was apparently at Leuchars yesterday.

Spitfire
Now painted up as XT-M as flown by Gerald “Stapme” Stapleton.
Very, very emotional as she flew over the Cemetery.

Hi,
I was going over the Forth Road bridge at 6.30 this evening and saw the Dakota and Spitfire heading over the bridges towards Fife. I asume they were heading for Leuchars. When I got home at 7.20 they overflew our area heading south.

I attended the tribute and what a wonderful sight it was.
200ft of the deck 3 passes and a final farewell wing waggle pass.
The Lady who was Flight Lieutenant Vaclav Jicha’s girlfriend at the time was there for this tribute and to see her standing there a tear in her eye as the spit flew over was just a sight that would melt even the coldest of hearts.
Only one word could describe the whole scene. “LOVELY”
BTW fluffy was the Spit up at Leuchars this weekend for the dance.

Yes, she is.
I saw her from the bedroom window. She came over Penicuik about 2.30ish, banking low over the Edinburgh end of town – fantastic! 🙂
