Whilst driving down the M40 tonight about 1830 near warwick services, three vehicles passed me heading the oppisote way. So what, you say. Each of the vehicles was towing a trailer on which was mounted a large in line piston engine (think Merlin type) with a three bladed propellor.
Anybody see these three engines and care to explain what was going on?

Guilty as charged!
One of the events we attended this weekend was a barbie at Peter Vallances Gatwick Aviation Museum on Saturday evening. They had the Shack running beautifully on all four engines. Well worth the long trip!
See pics:
They were also at the White Horse Show at Uffington, near Wantage,Oxon on Monday.
Very impressive display…and good to meet you guys

I’d agree with it probably being the chaps from the north west! They do get about a bit….;)
They brought the welland and griffon to our gaff a while back – I missed it! gutted.
