Developed by WB-Sim the 172SP Classic Enhancement pack offers improvements to the default Cessna 172 Skyhawk in Microsoft Flight Simulator with more realistic engine and electrical system modelling along with upgrades to the cockpit.

The electrical system features dynamic battery voltage drop and the correct ammeter readings. External charging is also modelled along with working relays and functional circuit breakers, which may trip from faulty equipment.

Up front, the cockpit features optional state saving, so the aircraft will be just as you left it. It also includes gyro spin-up animations, custom lighting that dims if the voltage is low, and the gauge needles are subject to engine vibrations. The cabin heat//defrost is also operational.

The avionics are upgraded with Bendix units, an RMI (Radio Magnetic Indicator), a functional M803 clock, a PMS GNS 530/430, custom-coded KAP140 autopilot and a KT76 transponder with dynamic radar pings.

Engine wear and tear is modelled with spark plug fouling, functional engine priming and starter overheating. Damage is also simulated with failures due to the lack of maintenance, gradual power loss as the hours accumulate, engine failure from lack of oil and the struts can get ripped from the fuselage from too many hard landings.
The package is available on Just Flight’s website for £14.99.
