On 11 April, 100-year-old, Minneapolis-Saint Paul-born US Army Air Forces P-51D Mustang pilot Col Joe Peterburs visited Duxford to fly with Isabel Rutland in the back of P-51D 44-13521/G-MRLL Marinell. During his trip to the UK Joe also visited his old base at RAF Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire, where he had originally arrived during November 1944 as a member of the 55th Fighter Squadron, 20th Fighter Group of the 8th Air Force.
