AAIB details 787 ‘minimum fuel’ incident
The UK’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has released its report into a serious incident that left a TUI Airways UK Boeing 787 Dreamliner within minutes of running out of fuel. The incident occurred at 0830hrs on December 21, 2023, at Birmingham Airport in the West Midlands, and involved 787-8, G-TUIB (c/n 34423) Alfie. A total of 291 passengers and ten crew members were on board. Although the aircraft landed safely, it did so with less minimum final reserve fuel
