Air Arabia A320 hit approach light during wrong runway take-off
An Air Arabia Airbus A320 struck an approach light while taking off from the wrong runway at Sharjah International Airport, a report by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has found. The incident – which occurred on September 18, 2018 – involved A6-ANV (c/n 5984), which was carrying 46 passengers between the third-largest UAE city and Salalah International Airport in Oman.
