Airbus Helicopters Racer flies
The Airbus Helicopters Racer high-speed helicopter demonstrator undertook its first flight from Marignane in southern France on April 25, 2024.Racer, F-WRAC, flew for about 30 minutes, enabling the flight test team to check the overall behaviour of the aircraft. The milestone flight is the start of a two-year testing campaign, which an Airbus Helicopters statement said “will aim to progressively open the aircraft’s flight envelope and demonstrate its high-speed capabilities”.
