Anniversary scheme for Cape Air Islander

Hyannis-based Cape Air marked its 35th birthday with a special livery for its 35-year-old Britten-Norman BN-2B Islander N530BN (c/n 2209), which is used on routes from San Juan to Virgin Gorda and Culebra.

Inspired by the Caribbean, the design on the Islander incorporates a sea turtle, hibiscus flower and a school of fish. The regional carrier currently operates 103 aircraft and more than 300 daily flights. In April 2022 it signed a letter of intent (LOI) for 75 all-electric Eviation Alice aircraft, which are unlikely to enter service until 2027 at the earliest.
