Army Flying Museum to mark the 80th anniversary of the Glider Pilot Regiment
The 80th anniversary of the formation of one of the regiments which served in some of the largest and most important operations in World War Two will be marked in a variety of events at the Army Flying Museum. On February 24, 1942 the Glider Pilot Regiment (GPR) was formed, and a series of talks, demonstrations and activities will take place over the coming months at the Middle Wallop based Museum to commemorate the occasion.
