Aviation services provider Aviator Airport Alliance has signed a new ground handling services partnership agreement with Ryanair.
Under the new partnership Aviator, an Avia Solutions Group company, will provide Ryanair with full passenger and ramp-handling services, including de-icing, at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, effective this month. Ryanair is opening 21 new routes at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, adding 89 new weekly departures.
Aviator and Ryanair have also extended their ground handling services partnership at Finland’s Helsinki Airport for a further four years. From October, Aviator will support 29 weekly Ryanair departures from Helsinki.
Tom Kelly, deputy director ground operations at Ryanair, said: “Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ryanair recently announced the opening of a new base in Stockholm Arlanda, as well as further growth in Helsinki, which will drive our expansion in Northern Europe while other airlines retrench. We are pleased to sign this long-term agreement with Aviator whose fully electric turnarounds ensure we maintain our position as Europe’s greenest airline.”
