El Prat Airport (LEBL) is the main gateway to Barcelona with almost 50 million passengers passing through the airport in 2023. It is the second-largest destination in Spain and the seventh-largest in Europe, as well as serving as a major hub for Air Nostrum, Ryanair and Vueling.
Developed by sim-wings, the package for MSFS is a detailed rendition of the actual airport and the immediate vicinity, sporting colour-corrected aerial imagery that seamlessly blends with the default simulator landscape. All buildings and facilities have been recreated in detail with PBR (Physically Based Rendering) effects throughout, the newly constructed jetways at Terminal 1 and interior modelling for Terminal 1 and 2. Support for Aerosoft’s VDGS (Visual Docking Guidance System) is also included.

Other highlights include 3D terrain made from DEM (elevation data) and up-to-date runways, taxiways, aprons and stands based on 2024 data. Animations include boarding bridges and apron vehicles as well as details such as dynamic lighting and custom taxiway signs. The package also sports a custom road network with vehicle bridges to the upper highway system. It is available on the Aerosoft website for €24.15 (approx £20.60).
