Belgian Lysander bound for the UK

The Fighter Collection has acquired Sabena Old Timers Foundation (SOTF) Westland Lysander IIIa V9546 for its Duxford-based fleet. Lysander V9546 in the SOTF’s hangar at Brussels Zaventem on December 16, 2024. Serge VerbeeckPreviously registered OO-SOT, the 1942-built aircraft was added to the UK Register as G-LYZY on December 9 last year. V9546 served with the RCAF in Alberta for most of its ‘career’, and was declared surplus in December 1944, with just 342 hours on the airframe. Its remains were
