Boeing delivers first CH-47F Block II Chinook to US Army
Boeing announced on July 1 that it had delivered the first CH-47F Block II Chinook to the US Army, marking a significant milestone in the modernisation programme of the Army's heavy-lift capabilities. Up to 465 US Army Chinooks may be upgraded to the Block II configuration.The CH-47F Block II introduces a range of enhancements, including an improved powertrain, reinforced airframe, and an upgraded fuel system. These modifications together increase the helicopter's maximum gross weight by 4,000lb and extend its mission
