The Boeing 307 Stratoliner was built during the Golden Age of Flight in the 1930s. The four-engine, long-range aircraft was the first airliner to feature a pressurised cabin, enabling it to operate up to 20,000ft.
It was based on the B-17C, using the wings, engines, and undercarriage but a circular cross-section fuselage, allowing the cabin to be pressurised.

Boeing manufactured ten Stratoliners and Howard Hughes purchased the first example to attempt to set aviation records, but he ultimately converted it into a flying penthouse. Pan American Airlines (Pan Am) acquired three and Trans World Airlines (TWA) purchased five. The 307 was in operation until 1975 when the last one crashed.
Only one of the original ten Stratoliners has survived intact, a model flown by Pan Am named ‘Clipper Flying Cloud’. Following its restoration, it is permanently housed at the Smithsonian’s Steven F Udvar-Hazy Center in Washington DC.

The Stratoliner for Microsoft Flights Simulator sports four liveries: Boeing Delivery, Emerald Harbor, WorldTravel, and AREA (Colombian). It features a detailed external model with PBR (Physically Based Rendering) effects and surface reflections, along with an authentic period flight deck and cabin.
Local Legends 10: Boeing 307 Stratoliner is available on the MSFS in-game Marketplace for $14.99.
