Bomber Crew Flypast Tribute
The 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk, took part in a flypast of Endcliffe Park in Sheffield, in tribute to ten US airmen killed in the crash of B-17G 42-31322 Mi Amigo near the park in 1944. Four of the unit’s F-15E Strike Eagles took part and flew a missing man formation. Also participating in the flypast were a Dakota from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, two RAF Typhoons, a KC-135R Stratotanker from the 100th Air Refueling Wing
