British Airways launches new African route from Gatwick
British Airways (BA) has celebrated its inaugural service on a new route to Africa from London/Gatwick. As the flag carrier touched down at Kotoka International Airport in the Ghanaian capital of Accra, passengers received a distinctive West African welcome complete with dancers and drummers. Crew members arrived wearing the new British Airways uniform, which is designed by British-Ghanaian tailor, Ozwald Boateng. BA now serves Accra thrice weekly from Gatwick.
