Eagle Dynamics has announced a new third-party developer Airplane Simulation Company has started working on a modernised version of the tactical airlifter for DCS, the C-130J.
Although the C-130 first entered service nearly 70 years ago, the airframe has been continually updated, culminating with the delivery of the J model in 1999.

The ‘J’ is a modernised variant that features a glass cockpit, air-to-ground radar, Flight Management Computer (FMS) and computerised airdrop capabilities designed to reduce crew workload.

Additional variants are planned in the near future, including the KC version, which will offer player-to-player aerial refuelling in DCS. No release date has yet been announced.
