Cannon AFB receives first AC-130J Ghostrider
The 27th Special Operations Wing (SOW) at Cannon Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico, received its first Lockheed Martin AC-130J Ghostrider on July 19, marking a new milestone in the transformation of US Air Force Special Operations Command’s (AFSOC’s) fixed-wing gunship capabilities. The aircraft was delivered to the 27th SOW by AFSOC personnel from both Hurlburt Field, Florida, and Cannon AFB.
