In a press release, the organisers said that “Due to adverse weather conditions, we are regrettably unable to host our planned event at the Steventon Gallery on Sunday, October 6, as the waterlogged grass runway and surrounding areas make it unsuitable for the Dakota and military vehicles.”
Consequently, the event will now take place at The Squadron at North Weald Airfield, with no changes to the types of experiences available to the attendees (including Dakota taxi-runs and displays of military vehicles).
Given the change of location for this year’s event, those who have already booked a Dakota taxi-run are being offered alternative choices. They can experience a taxi-run on October 6 at North Weald or on October 27 at The Squadron Fly In at the same location or at next year’s Daks & Tracks event which it has been announced will be held at the Aces High Gallery in Steventon on May 24 and 25.
