Debut air force confirmed for Exercise Cobra Warrior 23-2
Key.Aero can exclusively confirm that Exercise Cobra Warrior 23-2 will have a new nation taking part when it kicks off in early September.

For the first time the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) will participate with seven CF-188 Hornets operating from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. The air arm will also be sending a CC-150T Polaris, this air-to-air refuelling-capable Airbus A310 is also to fly from Waddington.

In addition, Canadian Air Battle Management personnel will be deployed to RAF Boulmer in Northumberland. This station provides surveillance of UK airspace and tactical control of combat and support aircraft.

A RCAF spokesperson told Key.Aero: “The RCAF is looking forward to training and developing air operational tactics alongside allies and partners like the Royal Air Force in a high tempo environment, while enhancing our ability to operate in European airspace.”

The above news follows Key.Aero revealing the USAF participation in Cobra Warrior 23-2.
