Display Tucano arrives at Yorkshire Air Museum
Shorts Tucano T1 ZF448 arrived at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington on 3 December on a low-loader from RAF Shawbury, Shropshire. Its new home is just 21 miles south-east of the old RAF Linton-on-Ouse, from where the trainer was operated as the RAF’s Tucano Display Team machine until retirement of the type from service on 25 October 2019. The move was undertaken by Jet Art Aviation of Selby, North Yorkshire. Reassembly of the aeroplane will begin during early 2025.
