Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) and TUI have partnered up to offer more seats from the Yorkshire hub, adding two new routes to Faro and Hurghada.
The base has been branded one of the fastest growing aviation sites in the UK, growing at a rate of 13% over the last five years.

“We’re already seeing strong demand from customers who haven’t had the chance for a summer getaway for over a year,” said Kate Stow, director of aviation development and corporate affairs at DSA. “This impressive summer 2022 schedule provides customers even more choice for a holiday in the sun with friends and family.
“As well as two new destinations, TUI have increased flights to 12 existing holiday destinations to cope with the appetite for foreign travel that we know is there and will kick-start as soon as international travel is well and truly opened up again. We’re looking ahead to a record-breaking year and would advise customers to think about booking for Summer 2022 now.”
Due to the expansion of TUI, summer of 2022 is set to be the biggest recorded at DSA, with passenger numbers expected to reach 1.7 million – exceeding 2019 traffic levels by 30%.
Additionally, the airport plans to add two new routes to Faro in Portugal and Hurghada in Egypt to next year’s summer schedule and is likely to start operating flights to Palma, Malaga, Corfu, Crete and Kos.
