“We are delighted to be celebrating the launch of our new domestic service from Belfast to Bournemouth for the first time, further strengthening our network in Belfast and providing more opportunity for our customers in Northern Ireland to book a trip this summer,” said Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager.

Uel Hoey, business development director at Belfast International, added: “The route will also provide an excellent connection for holidaymakers in the region to make the trip northbound to experience the multitude of attractions on offer across Northern Ireland.”

Flights to the southern coast began operating on a twice-weekly basis, initially starting on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s, continuing over the next few months.

This addition follows the launch of easyJet’s new route between Manchester and Newquay, which began on Monday (May 24). This is part of the airline’s expanding summer network from the Northern hub, which includes services to Kos, Nice and Ibiza.
