“Improving the passenger experience is an important part of our approach and the installation of 5G will deliver faster internet connections to our customers, as well as staff and third parties,” said Danny Quinn, technical asset director at Edinburgh Airport.

“We rely on technology like never before, so we want to ensure we have ease of access to make journeys through the airport as easy as possible as we look to recover.”

Tom Sime, CEO at Exchange Communications, added: “Not only will this work enhance connectivity today resulting in faster connections, quicker streaming and responsive technology, it will future-proof the site for the adoption of further smart building technologies in the years to come.”

The company has delivered its services in more than 100 countries.
