Egypt set for imminent Eurofighter purchase
The Egyptian government looks set to imminently sign a multi-billion dollar deal with its Italian counterparts for 24 Eurofighter Typhoons. All the aircraft will be built at Leonardo’s production facility, but delivery details and schedules have yet to be disclosed. The contract, said to be worth about $3bn according to the Middle East Eye, is part of a bigger arms deal, valued at between $10-12 billion which will also include 24 M-346 jet trainers.
