Embraer’s E2 orderbook increase
The Brazilian manufacturer has revealed new commitments for its E2 family of jets at the Istanbul Airshow 2022. Omani-based carrier, SalamAir, has inked a firm order with Embraer for six E195-E2 jets (pictured below) – plus further options for the same amount. According to the OEM, the deal is worth US$934.6m at list prices with all options exercised. Handover of the aircraft – which will feature a two-class, 135-seat layout – are scheduled to start from the “end of 2023”.
