The services coincide with the Expo 2020 Dubai a six-month long event, with eligible customers receiving a free day pass

Emirates has announced that it will be restarting services from its Dubai hub to Saudi Arabia from September 11 and St Petersburg from October 8.

Connections to the Russian city will be operated four times a week, increasing to daily by the end of October and utilising one of the carrier’s Boeing 777-300ER’s in a three class configuration.

The airline will serve multiple destinations in Saudi Arabia including daily flights to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam and thrice weekly to Medina, with flights to Riyadh increasing to double daily from September 16. The UAE flag carrier will bring back Airbus A380 services to Jeddah while it has also outlined that “plans are underway to boost frequencies across the other gateways by the end of September.”

Emirates has also revealed that customers travelling to or through Dubai between October 2021 until March 2022 will benefit from a free Emirates Expo day pass for every flight ticket booked with the airline. The delayed Dubai Expo will showcase the newest innovations from across the world, with over 191 countries taking part.
