Emirates fined by US DOT
The US Department of Transportation (DOT) has fined Emirates $1.8m for operating flights carrying the JetBlue Airways designator code in regions in which a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight prohibition was in effect for US operators. The airline was ordered to cease and desist from similar violations. The fine, issued on June 13, requires $1.5m to be paid within 60 days, with the balance due within one year.Between December 2021 and August 2022, Emirates operated a significant number of flights
