Emirates has resumed passenger service to Orlando International Airport with the airline providing four weekly flights to the region on a Boeing 777-200LR.
The Dubai-based carrier has been operating cargo flights to the airport throughout the pandemic, after passenger flights were suspended in March 2020.
The inbound rotation departs Dubai at 8.55am local and arrive in Orlando at 4.30pm with the return connection leaving the Florida airport at 9.00pm and landing in the Middle East at 7.10pm the next day.
Phil Brown, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said: “As we continue to recover from the global pandemic, we’re glad to see our international carriers make their return to the Central Florida region and our world-class airport. The resumption of passenger service by Emirates really means the return of access to incredible destinations in Southeast Asia and India.”
The resumption of services come as the carrier announced that it will provide four weekly flights to Miami, Florida starting on July 22, bringing the airline’s total US destinations to 12 including Orlando, New York/JFK and San Francisco.
