This UK-run exercise is due to take place from October 14 to 27 2024 mainly off the coast of Scotland and the North Sea.
Open source Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) documentation states the non-UK participants for this training event are: German Navy P-3C Orion, Royal Canadian Air Force CP-140, US Navy P-8A Poseidon, Royal Norwegian Air Force Poseidon, French Navy Atlantique 2, Swedish Air Force Gripen, NATO E-3A and ‘Combat Air’ aircraft from USAFE – though no types are specified. UK military aviation assets taking part are: F-35B, Typhoon, Poseidon, Voyager, Wildcat, Merlin HM2 and Merlin HC4. Civilian contractor Draken is listed among the aircraft operators with the L-159 Honey Badger (shown as to be confirmed), Falcon 20 and DA42 Twin Star. There are two unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) involved: Believe and Puma.
Airfields given in the CAA document stating from where aircraft will operate from are “Lossiemouth, Prestwick, Coningsby, Waddington, Teesside, Lakenheath, Brize Norton, Stornoway”.
