F-35B missile integration under way
WORK HAS begun to integrate the next-generation Meteor and SPEAR missiles onto the UK’s F-35B fleet. BAE Systems announced on March 18 that it had received an initial funding award from Lockheed Martin to start the work, together with missile manufacturer MBDA, responsible for both the Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM) and the SPEAR precision surface attack missile. Under this initial package, BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin will also complete further integration efforts with MBDA on the ASRAAM air-to-air missile
