Final MC-130J enters service
The last Lockheed Martin MC-130J Commando II has arrived at its operational base. Commando II s/n 22-5994 arrived at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, on January 14, 2025, marking the delivery of the last MC-130J to its initial operational base. The aircraft was received by the 415th Special Operations Squadron, part of the 58th Special Operations Wing (SOW) at the air force base, the unit serving as the formal training unit for the MC-130J.
