First Boeing 777F for Maersk Air Cargo
Maersk Air Cargo took delivery of its first brand-new Boeing 777F on July 12 at the manufacturer’s facility in Seattle. After transiting to Bangor, Maine, the aircraft, OY-MAC (c/n 67867), made the six-hour transatlantic hop to Billund in Denmark on July 13.The Danish freight specialist was launched in 2022 to take over operations of Maersk’s existing in-house airline, Star Air. It ordered two 777Fs in November 2021 as part of a fleet modernisation programme, with the second, OY-MAD (c/n 67866),
