First ex-RAF E-3D Sentry AEW1 departs on delivery to Chile
Following the sale of two retired Royal Air Force E-3D Sentry AEW1s to the Fuerza Aérea de Chile (FACh, Chilean Air Force), the first of these aircraft departed from their base at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, on July 25 to begin its delivery flight to Chile. The aircraft, ZH103 and ZH106, were both to be flown by RAF crews and used callsigns ‘ASCOT 7001/Solex 02’ and ‘ASCOT 7006’, respectively.
