First flight for AG600 amphibian
via Chinese internet CHINA’S FIRST large amphibious aircraft, the AG600 ‘Kunlong’, completed its maiden flight at Jinwan Civil Aviation Airport in Zhuhai, in the Guangdong Province of south China, on December 24. The aircraft took off at 0939hrs local time and landed around an hour later. Developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the AG600 has a maximum take-off weight of 53.5 tonnes, a maximum cruising speed of 311mph (500km/h) and an endurance of 12 hours.
