First Maryland Warthog departs
The initial A-10C to be retired by the Maryland Air National Guard’s 175th Wing departed Warfield Air National Guard Base at Martin State Airport near Baltimore, on March 26, 2025. In March 2024, the USAF announced plans to divest the wing’s A-10s and fully convert it to a cyber mission. Currently, the wing’s 175th Cyberspace Operations Group executes offensive and defensive operations.
